Open Doors May 10 & June 1
11am – 3pm – Free
Vajrasattva Kadampa Meditation Centre has newly completed its renovations at 24 Castle St and now we are delighted to have a full programme of meditation on offer including these Open Doors days!. 24 Castle Street is a much loved building in Dumfries that used to be the YMCA. Come along to one of our Open Doors days to see its transformation into a beautiful Modern Buddhist meditation centre.
The cafe will be open with indoor and outdoor seating. There is a meditation bookshop and small gift shop to browse in and if you are interested you can try a free taster meditation. There will be colouring for the children, who are also welcome to try out a short meditation specially for them.
If you are curious about meditation and its benefits you can pop in during the Open Doors days for a chat with the teacher and our friendly community of volunteers to find out how meditation can significantly improve your health, sense of well being and many other areas of your life.
You can come on your own or with others, either way you can be sure of a warm, friendly welcome.
We are located near the town centre and a few minutes away from river walks along the Nith. Free parking is available widely in the surrounding area. Disabled parking can be arranged in advance.
