Offering our Faith
Celebrating the birthday of our precious Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
On June 4, Turning the Wheel of Dharma day, we remember Buddha’s great kindness in teaching others how to liberate their minds from suffering. In particular we celebrate the birth of our root Guru, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and his deeds to benefit the people of the modern world by giving teachings and establishing our world wide tradition.
As faithful modern Kadampa disciples we remember the great kindness of Venerable Geshe-la every day, but on this auspicious day, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we will offer him our faith through using the special prayer Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples’ and collecting our Guru’s name mantra for a period of time in silent practice.
Please come along to join in and to find out more.
