Mantra Meditation
Half-day meditation course
Mantra means mind protection. It is the supreme method to enhance the qualities of our body and mind. It can be used to help calm our mind by pacifying negative thoughts that give rise to suffering and it can also be used to go deeper in our spiritual practices to connect with enlightened power.
On this morning course Gen Tubchen will explore the meaning of mantra, how it functions and the profound benefits of mantra recitation. She will introduce various mantra practices including combining mantra recitation with breathing meditation. This is a simple but powerful method to attain a calm, controlled and positive mind and creates special causes to experience the supreme inner peace of an enlightened mind.
Many people find it helpful to have a mala, or set of prayer beads, to use when reciting mantras. We have beautiful handmade mala’s in our shop or you can bring along a mala you already have. The course will touch on how to bless and use a mala to support our mantra meditation and our spiritual practice.
All welcome.
